What is this course about?

The course covers risk assessments and ways to control common workplace hazards such as fire, lifting and carrying, work equipment, electrical safety, hazardous substances and transport

Entry Requirements

There are no formal qualifications. However, students need to have a real interest in maintaining health and Safety in the workplace.
Students may find it beneficial to complete the 6 hour Award in Health and Safety in the workplace prior to enrolling for this qualification.
A workplace needs to be available for the completion of the practical risk assessment.

How is it taught?

The sessions are delivered within a classroom setting. The sessions are interactive and it is expected that students will fully participate.

How will I be assessed?

There is a multiple choice examination and a practical risk assessment which tests the ability to put into practice the knowledge gained during the course.

What else do I need to know?

This qualification will benefit organisations who are seeking to implement a health and safety management system.

What could I do next?

This is an ideal first step towards higher level NEBOSH qualifications, ie National General Certificate or the Diploma.
