ESOL with Citizenship Entry level

What is this course about?

This course will help you learn English for living and working in the UK.
All ESOL classes will practise reading, writing, speaking and listening, vocabulary and grammar. Citizenship and Employability skills are also included in the course.
Additional courses which you could join include ESOL and Computer skills, Numeracy and Vocational Awards. We offer classes at the following levels:
Entry 1, Entry 2, Entry 3, Level 1, Level 2

Entry Requirements

An initial assessment in English language skills to place you at the correct level.

How is it taught?

The course is classroom based. You can access additional resources on the ESOL Moodle learning site. Trips and visits to local places of interest are regularly organised by your tutors.

How will I be assessed?

You will gain a City and Guilds certificate in Speaking and Listening and/or Reading and Writing

What else do I need to know?

In order to progress to main stream College courses and Higher Education, your level of English needs to be at least Entry Level 3.
The dates of the 2 short courses are
1. 10/9/2012 to 15/2/2013 - 20 weeks
2. 25/2/2013 to 5/7/2013 - 16 weeks
The days/times are either 9.15-12.30 for 3 mornings or 1.00pm-4.00pm for 3 afternoons.
