What is this course about?

This course provides the theoretical and the practical knowledge in relation to Health and Social Care, it forms the basis of providing the undepinning skills that are required when working within Adult Social Care.
The course comprises of 9 topics including:
Equality and diversity
Communication skills
Health and Safety.

Entry Requirements

There are no formal qualifications required, however, a level 1 in literacy is advisable.

How is it taught?

In a classroom environment via a combination of individual and group activities.

Practical activities are included to ensure that learners will be able to apply their learning within the care sector.

How will I be assessed?

Learners need to provide a portfolio of evidence to gain the certification with the awarding organisation.

The lecturer will provide advcie and guidance as to how this can be successfully completed.

What else do I need to know?

Learners can commence the course during the academic year as the course is roll on/roll off.

What could I do next?

If employed within Health and Social Care, learners can complete some additional work to achieve the Diploma in Health and Social Care (Adults).
