Entry Requirements

Learners need to be in good health, risk assessments are completed.

Learners will benefit from having achieved a level 1 Literacy.

How is it taught?

This is a classroom based taught course.
The first part of the day is the theory of the moving and handling.
The second part of the day is a practical demonstration followed by practice under supervision.

How will I be assessed?

Observation of participation in group activities and skills during the practical session.

What else do I need to know?

Flat,full shoes to be worn.

Clothes allowing ease of movement during practical sessions should be worn, trousers are ideal although not essential.

What could I do next?

Depending upon the work environment, vocationally related courses ie Diploma in Health and Social Care.
