First Aid At Work

What is this course about?

To re-qualify and update existing First Aiders to HSE standards so that they can continue to administer First Aid to a casualty in the workplace following an injury or illness using materials to hand and HSE approved first aid equipment. A further 3 year Certificate of Competence (health and safety Approved) will be awarded on successful completion of the course and assessment.

Entry Requirements

No Formal entry requirements are necessary. An interest in being a "First Aider" within the workplace.

How is it taught?

Classroom taught sessions including practical activities.

How will I be assessed?

By successful completion of a practical assessment of resuscitation techniques word by oral questioning.

What could I do next?

To maintain the First Aid at work qualification, learners will need to attend and achieve the refresher award within three years. Learners can attend an annual update to maintain their practise. Learners may also choose to complete a further qualification in Health and Safety.
