This course includes:
Understanding the duties and responsibilities of employers, employees and others in relation to health and Safety at work.
Understanding the process by which health and safety is managed in an organisation.
Understanding procedures for developing and implementing risk assessment
Understanding procedures for developing and implementing safe systems of work
Know how to review health and safety across an organisation

Entry Requirements

An informal interview is required.

The qualification is intended for learners already working in the capacity of supervisor or manager and those who are preparing to start work at this level.

How is it taught?

The course is delivered within a classroom setting. Learners are expected to fully particiapte in the sessions to ensure optimum benefit.
Activities are interactive and are a combination of group and individual tasks.

How will I be assessed?

There are 2 parts to the assessment:

Part 1 Assignment based on:
Undertaking a risk assessment
Construct a safe system of work

Part 2 2.5 hour examination:
30 multiple choice questions
4 longer written questions

What else do I need to know?

The qualification is offered by the Awarding body HABC (Highfield Awarding Body for Compliance)
