Saturday Kitchen - West African Cookery

What is this course about?

This is an introduction to simple food preparation and cookery skills that will enable you to produce some of your favourite West African dishes and extend your repertoire in cookery. On this course you will cover basic food safety, preparation and storage procedures and discover how easy it is to make a variety of classic West African dishes.

How is it taught?

These classes are practical cookery 3 hours per week over 3 weeks.

How will I be assessed?

Assessment involves the collection of evidence. The evidence will take the form of practical items produced during the course. This is assessed by the tutor and graded; a College certificate will be awarded.

What else do I need to know?

Simple protective clothing is required to comply with food safety regulations. A small cost will be included to pay for any food items and commodities used on this course.
