Introduction to Reflexology

What is this course about?

This course is aimed at people who are considering vocational training in reflexology. It will give an insight into basic reflexology and will include some practical work.

How is it taught?

This is a 5 week course which introduces you to the practice and theory of Reflexology.

How will I be assessed?

You will have your own learning log to track your progress which will be reviewed at the end of the course.

What else do I need to know?

Course Aims - Students will be informed of the main historical impact and the principles of reflexology. Students will observe demonstration of safe working practices when delivering the treatment. Students will have a basic knowledge and understanding of the main organs of the body and their relationship to the feet. Students will be aware of the content of a consultation card and its purpose.

Course Objectives - All students will be able to relate to the history and principles. All students will have the opportunity to demonstrate a reflexology treatment working safely, will be aware of contra indications to the treatment, will be aware of the position and function of the main organs of the body, will be aware of the need for a consultation form.

What could I do next?

Progression onto vocational qualifcations in reflexology is possible.
