Age 16,17 or 18 on 31.8.06
On a basic Maths or English course
In receipt of or the unwaged dependent of a person in receipt of Job Seekers Allowance (Income Based); Income Support; Housing/Council Tax Benefit; Working Tax Credit where household income is below the Government threshold (currently £15,050); Pension Guaranteed Credit

Our Student Assistance Team may also be able to help you with issues such as:

Finding somewhere else to live
Funding advice, Higher Education funding, travel information

If you earn less than £20,000 we may be able to help you by:

Paying towards course fees
Paying towards books and equipment
Paying towards childcare while studying

All students age 19+ will need to pay the one-off £5 registration. This is one payment in any academic year regardless of how many subjects you study.

Please do remember to bring proof of benefits when you come in to enrol so that we can waive your fees if we are able to.
