The tutors who deliver these qualifications have extensive knowledge of Health & Safety and Food Hygiene and have vocational expertise in a variety of sectors.



First Aid at Work – Refresher

First Aid – Emergency First Aid at Work Level 2 Award

Health & Safety / Food Safety

This is a 6 hour course which leads to an accredited certificate in Emergency First Aid in the Workplace (previously known as “Appointed Persons First Aid”. The college is a Health and Safety Executive approved centre for the delivery of First Aid at Work. The focus is on the first aid management of adults which can be applied in any setting but there will be a strong focus on workplace settings. The qualification allows the holder to manage first aid situations in the workplace when the First Aider is unavailable. The course covers basic life support, management of shock and bleeding amongst other situations. The qualification will be gained on succesful completion of the course, all students must demonstrate basic life support and actively engage with the course. There is no formal examination.
