FREE Maths and English courses, GCSEs, Functional Skills and short starter courses. If you don’t have a GCSE grade C in Maths and English, then all our Maths and English courses are COMPLETELY FREE*. Whatever your level of Maths or English, we will have a course to suit you. Our courses are suitable for beginners, people wanting to improve their skills or those requiring a GCSE to progress to employment or university.

These courses are delivered by friendly and experienced tutors and will help you to improve your Maths and English skills including reading, writing and conversational skills used in everyday life. In Functional Skills we work with real life examples such as local issues, writing letters and household budgeting.

Learning Maths and English as an adult is very enjoyable. We have great Maths and English tutors as well as Maths and English Champions who run Maths and English weeks throughout the year to celebrate student success. You an also access excellent online resources from anywhere to help support you with your learning.

We are here to make sure you have plenty of support to help you achieve your goals. Whatever your starting point and interest is, we provide a supportive and friendly atmosphere in which to gain an up-to-date, nationally recognised qualification.

Maths GCSE

Maths & English / Reading & Writing

GCSE Maths is now free to any learner who has not yet attained a C or above at GCSE. You can still apply for this qualification even if you have a C or above, but fees may apply. Students follow a unitised syllabus, with examinations at the end of the course in June. The units cover Number, Handling data, Algebra and Geometry. There will be an initial assessment prior to the start of the course to ensure that students are on an appropriate level course.
