Unit 1 – Introduction to warehousing and storageThe aim of this unit is for learners to gain an overview of warehousing and storage.
Unit 2 – Understand how to receive and store goods
The aim of this unit is to help the learner understand how to receive and store goods. The learner will also understand the health and safety risks involved in these processes.
Unit 3 – Understand how to process orders and prepare them for dispatch
The aim of this unit is to help the learner understand how to process orders and package goods for dispatch. The learner will also understand the health and safety risks involved in these processes.
Unit 4 – Understand how to check stock and update records
The aim of this unit is to provide learners with an understanding of what a stock check is and why and how it is carried out. Learners will also understand how records are updated following a stock check.
Unit 5 – Customer service in warehousing and storage
The aim of this unit is for learners to learn about the importance of customer service in warehousing and storage and how it can have positive and negative impacts.

Entry Requirements
* You must be aged 19+* You must live in England (not available to people living in Ireland, Scotland or Wales)
* You must have been an EU resident for at least 3 years
* No qualifications are necessary for you to start the course.
All learners are subject to an eligibility check before you can start the course. You may be required to forward information to us about your current employment or income/benefit status to allow you to get started.
How Is It Assessed
Assessment is based on answering questions either online or by completing a paper-based question/answer paper.How Is It Taught
As you work through the learning materials, you will have the support of a knowledgeable assessor/tutor who will give you support, advice and guidance on the course content as well as providing robust feedback on the work you complete. This course consists of 2 assessments to be completed 4 weeks apart. Upon successful completion of the course, you will be awarded the CACHE Level 2 Certificate in Principles of Warehousing and Storage.What Could I do Next
After completing a distance learning qualification and receiving confirmation from your assessor that the course has been achieved, you are able to enrol on another distance learning qualification.What Else Do I Need To Know
