Course Summary

This course is designed to stimulate interest and encourage student' understanding of the skills required to care for others. Personal/Social development are studied as part of this qualification. This qualification will support the student in preparing for their next steps.

2 GCSEs at grade 1 or 2 or ideally in English and Maths. Entry Level
3, or another relevant Entry Level
qualification. You will have a preinduction
interview/assessment to make
sure this is the right level for you. All
learners will need to have a clear DBS
prior to the start of the course and will be
required to purchase a uniform.

How Is It Assessed

Work will be assessed in a variety of ways including discussions, producing information leaflets and completing written tasks.

How Is It Taught

There will be a range of learning opportunities to meet the needs of all learners. This will be a combination of discussions, practical sessions and written work.

What Could I do Next

This qualification will not lead directly into employment but it will help you progress on to a Level 2 qualifications such as the level 2 Children's Play, Learning and Development or Level 2 Health and Social Care.

You will be expected to purchase and wear a uniform and have a clear DBS check. You will normally have to pay for course items such as stationary, books and equipment. Some courses have placements or visits, which may have costs attached.
