Course Summary

Level 2 Property maintenance consists of a number of trades Carpentry and Joinery, Plumbing, painting and decorating and wall and floor tiling along with health and safety content. The course is aimed at learners with some basic experience of trades. The course is mainly practical task based- changing or repairing a range of domestic fittings- basins, architrave, electric sockets along with decorative tasks with theory sessions in the classroom, assessed by online exams. Sessions will take place over a timetable covering three days with the opportunity to complete work experience as part of the programme

Level 1 qualification in a trade discipline
Grade 4 or above in Maths and English

You will be assessed through practical workshop based assessment, written questioning along with online exams

How Is It Taught

The course is taught as a blend of theory and practical skills over three days each week. Practical skills will be taught work shop based with practical assessments throughout the course.

You will need to provide PPE for workshop areas: Safety Boots Painters Overalls or suitable workwear for particular workshop tasks.
