What is this course about?

The Access to Higher Education course provides you with a qualification that will enable you to progress to university to study a range of vocational and academic Medical degree programmes. The Access course is an ideal way of developing the skills necessary to progress to university whilst studying subjects that are relevant to your chosen degree programme. The course covers 3 key topics of Biology, Chemistry and Physics, along with a research topic, as follows: Biology: Anatomy, Human Nutrition and the Digestive System, Control and Coordination, Human Disease and Prevention, Infection and Immunity, Respiration and Circulation. Chemistry: Functional Groups, Hydrocarbons, Physical Chemistry ? Kinetic Factors. Skeletal System and Urinary System Physics: Electromagnetic Spectrum, Medical Physics, Optics and Sound.
