AQA GCSE in Mathematics

What is this course about?

The course includes the Introduction to GCSE Maths. All learners must complete the introduction session.
Students follow a unitised syllabus, with examinations at the end of the course in June. The units cover Number, Handling data, Algebra and Geometry. There will be an initial assessment prior to the start of the course to ensure that students are on an appropriate level course.

Entry Requirements

There is no formal entry requirement. Some knowledge of arithmetic, algebra and geometry is helpful, but only basic arithmetic will be assumed. After an Initial Assessment some students may be advised to follow a Maths Refresher course first. During the first few weeks of the course you can get advice from the teacher and change to the refresher course if you wish.
