What is this course about?
This is a short course designed to supplement the knowledge and experience of practising electricians operating in the electrical installation or associated industries.
Qualified Electrician Status.
How is it taught
Learning takes place in a friendly and relaxed environment. Your lecturer or the guidance team are there to help you get the most from your course. If you want to study on your own you can use one of the 2 Learning Resources Centres or one of the special study workshops in English, Mathematics and Information Technology. Topics covered include: Documentation, Preparation for Inspection, Inspection and Testing. Teaching will comprise a variety of classroom and practical activities.
What else do I need to know?
City and Guilds is a nationally recognised vocational qualification which provides the background knowledge and skills in a specific work related area. In addition to the 6 taught weeks, some work will be required at home and there is an additional week for a theory exam and a practical exam.
What could I do next?
Successful completion of this course can enhance employment possibilities. An Installation Inspector. Can progress to the City & Guilds 2395-01 course in Periodic Inspection and Testing.
