EDX L1 Award in Intro to Electrical Installation
What is this course about?
These programmes will give you a basic knowledge of electrical installation skills. The qualification covers a range of basic tasks and the underpinning knowledge involved in electrical installation. On successful completion of this course you will achieve a City & Guilds award, allowing you to progress to the next level and to an Apprenticeship.
2 GCSEs grade D-E (new grade 3-2 in English/Maths), Entry Level 3, or another relevant Entry Level qualification. You will have an informal interview to make sure this is the right level for you.
How is it taught
The course is taught in 7 units with a mixture of classroom and workshop study.
How will I be assessed?
Each unit is assessed with an assignment.
What else do I need to know?
You will need the correct PPE for this course, consisting of a hi vis jacket and steel tow cap footware. You will also need pens, pencil, workpad/notebook and City and Guilds Level 1 text book.
What could I do next?
From these qualifications and successful completion of the study programme you may be able to progress onto a Level 2 or 3 course or Apprenticeship in Electrical Installation to become a fully qualified electrical installer.
