SAM Unvented Hot Water Storage Systems Training & Assessment
What is this course about?
This course is aimed to help plumbers and heating engineers who want to install Vented and Unvented Domestic Hot Water Storage Systems to comply with the appropriate Building Regulations and Standards.
Trainees must hold a recognised trade qualification e.g. NVQ/SNVQ Level 2 or 3 in Plumbing and Heating, or Domestic Heating, which will include Water Regulations, OR be working towards one OR have evidence of a number of Years
How is it taught
Assessments consist of theory and practcial assessments to cover the following modules
Vented and Unvented systems and their operating principles
Design and installation
Compliance with other Building Regulations

How will I be assessed?
Assessments normally consist of a combination of practical and theory examinations.
What else do I need to know?
Certificates are normally valid for 5 years. Candidates are eligible for reassessment within 12 months of expiry. Previous certificates must be presented to the assessment centre as evidence of holding the initial qualification.
