Whatever subject you are studying on our Higher Education programmes, you will find that the facilities at Stoke on Trent College are ideally suited to HE.
Our John Seddon Building Technology Centre, for instance, is one of the best of its kind in the UK, offering industry standard training in construction and related fields. While our Lifestyle building with its fabulous spa, hair and beauty salons, kitchens and restaurant provides training for a variety of service sectors. In addition, our new Sports Academy offers a fully equipped gym, sports hall and sports therapy suite.
Learning Resource Centres
Our Learning Resource Centres (LRCs) are open for all students to use. They provide a range of books, on-line and audio-visual materials, scanners and printers to help you get the most from your studies and our friendly, knowledgeable and helpful staff are available to help you find the information you require.

New Facilities
2015 saw two brand new campus developments open to students:
- A £12 million new Enterprise Hub at Cauldon, incorporating all student services, as well as the teaching facilities for IT, Science, Sports Science, Public Services and Business.
- A £10.5 million new Technology Hub at Burslem, housing state-of-the-art equipment and teaching facilities for a wide range of engineering and construction disciplines, including Electrical and Electronic Engineering labs, Mechanical and Manufacturing Engineering workshops, Renewable Technologies rigs, white goods installation and maintenance facility.
Sports Academy
The new Sports Academy boasts a fully equipped gym, a sports hall and a therapy suite. The Academy is open six days a week and you’ll find friendly instructors who are on hand to help you achieve your exercise goals. Students also benefit from reduced rates.
Catering Facilities
There are a variety of food outlets offering a range of refreshments, serving a selection of delicious meals at prices you can afford. You can grab a quick snack and coffee from the Terrace or take your time over a traditional meal at the new Terrace Restaurant or refurbished Potters Restaurant.
Staffordshire University
Science Centre
Science and Technology students benefit from access to the outstanding Staffordshire University Science Centre. Situated at the heart of the University Quarter it hosts a number of specialist laboratories and a cognitive and developmental psychology suite.
Other Facilities
In addition to our student facilities, if you’re studying a course awarded by Staffordshire University, you’re also entitled to use the well-stocked University library and the University’s social facilities. You will also have access to the University’s eResource collection, which offers a wide range of information held in searchable online databases.
