RESULTS DAYS 2020
This page is to inform students who studied at Stoke-on-Trent College who are expecting results in Summer 2020 as part of the Governments reformed system for calculated grades in the response to COVID-19 Pandemic.
We do understand how difficult it will have been for you not to have finished the year due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Your teachers and Head of Department have worked closely with the exam boards to submit calculated grades for your subjects. These calculated grades have formed the basis of your confirmed results and are in line with College predictions.
We appreciate that this is always a stressful time, and is even more so under these current circumstances, so your support and understanding is appreciated. We believe that you should be rightly proud of your hard work and we wish you all the best for your future studies and career.
A Levels – Thursday 13th August
To follow Government social distancing guidance, we have decided to post all A Level results to students this year. Students should receive their results in the post on Thursday 13th August, with a detailed letter explaining any next steps. Please do not attend college to collect your results.
GCSE’s – Thursday 20th August
Students will be able to collect their results, from the college campus they studied their GCSE, on Thursday 20th August between 11am – 2pm. If you are collecting your results, where possible please only attend campus alone or with one family/friend only. If you decide not to collect your results on this day, they will be posted to you.
BTEC & Other Vocational Qualifications
To follow Government social distancing guidance, we have decided to post all BTEC & Other Vocational results to students this year. Please do not attend college to collect your results. As we work with a variety of awarding organisations, each one has different release dates for their results. Our exams department are working through these as and when we receive them and will post a letter with your results as soon as we can.
The result for many students have been calculated differently this year. Ofqual have published a guide that you may find useful. You can access this information by clicking on the link below.
