School Link students from Stoke on Trent College stood head and shoulders above the competition at the Regional Hair & Beauty competition held at Blackpool’s Winter Gardens.
The competition took place on Monday 5th February where over 200 competitors came together to showcase their talent.
Our School Links team were extremely proud of all the students who attended the competition. Not only were they challenging themselves within the competitive arena, some of the students were overcoming personal goals, such as travelling away from their city. Having never left the boundaries of Stoke-on-Trent before, the dizzy heights of Blackpool could have been overwhelming for some of the group, but our students took it all in their stride.
The team did not come home empty-handed either, as Stoke on Trent College took centre stage within the Natural Day Make-Up Category: Jolie Bull-Bradley from Ormiston Horizon Academy took the prize for first place, just pipping to the winning post teammate Catarina Plant from St Thomas More Academy, who took second place.
Within the Hair-Up Category, the team were also pleased to see student Aron Dunn, from Loxley Hall School, placed third, and he will be joining Jolie and Catarina in the National Hair and Beauty Finals, where they will compete against the best in the country.
Both the College and students are delighted about making it through to the National Finals and will return to the Winter Gardens in March.
We wish our students the very best of Luck.
