Two radio presenters are getting set to swap their hearsay for hairspray as they go head-to-head in a styling showdown.
Louise Stones and Andy Cook from Signal 1 The Breakfast Show will battle it out creating the ultimate event hairstyle at Stoke on Trent College on Wednesday, October 9th.
Under the watchful eye of staff and students, the duo will be put through their paces learning a range of techniques to help create the perfect “up-do.” They will then battle it out in a hair-raising finale, judged by experts at the College.
Jay Davies, Hairdressing Lecturer at Stoke on Trent College, said “Andy and Louise will need to have an eye for detail, concentration and a flair for creativity if they want to succeed.
They will have just one hour to learn techniques to an industry standard, something that usually takes weeks, even months, to master.
The pressure will really be on. They are going need to keep a clear head and stay focused if they want to win.”
The hairdressing challenge will take place at the college’s multimillion-pound, cutting-edge facilities.
Ahead of the challenge, Louise Stones said “We are really excited to be going quite literally head-to-head in the up-do’s challenge with Stoke on Trent College”
Co-presenter Andy Cook, added “Courses that give you real, practical skills such as this are an important foundation for the real world of work.
