Staff and students staged a fun-packed, hair-raising day of activities to help provide vital funds for a local hospice.
On Thursday, December 3rd, staff and students from Foundation study at Stoke on Trent College took part in a series of challenges and fundraising activities including a sponsored head shave, leg wax and fancy dress.
Other activities included staff members being gunged by students, raffle, beauty treatments, fancy dress, sweet treats and crafts.
A memory tree, where people will be able to share their memories of loved ones, was also put up on the day.
Michelle Degg, Learner Support Assistant at Stoke on Trent College who has helped organise the event and shaved her head for the cause, said: “Dougie Mac is a local charity who help so many people in their time of need. As a department, we decided that it was such a worthy cause.
“We wanted to raise as much money as possible and I think we can do this with the activities we will be holding.”
Dawn Zdrodowski, Head of Foundation Studies at Stoke on Trent College, said: “We are very proud of all the staff and students in the Foundation department.
They have worked very hard to put this event together to help provide vital funds and supports for others in the local community.”
