New College Governor is leading local accountant
Respected accountant Adrian Veale has been appointed to the Board of Governors at Stoke on Trent College.
Adrian, Senior Manager, at Mitten Clarke, has over 25 years experience on the accountancy scene in North Staffordshire and South Cheshire.
Mr Veale, 51, is previously a longstanding Director of the Association of Accounting Technicians, a leading UK qualification and training body for accountancy and finance staff.
“I am very pleased to take up my new role at Stoke on Trent College,” said Adrian. “I have previous experience of education and training through my role with the Association of Accounting Technicians and have lectured on courses in the Cheshire and Stockport areas,
“Education is increasingly important to anyone seeking a job and it is an honour to be offered a position on the Board of a college which focuses on providing students with a clear pathway into employment.”
Adrian, of Crewe, is based at Mitten Clarke’s headquarters in Festival Park, Stoke on Trent and has previously worked in their Congleton office.
He is a keen runner and walker and completed both the London Marathon and the Yorkshire Three Peaks Challenge, as part of a Mitten Clarke team, in 2011.
College Principal Sarah Robinson said: “lt is a real bonus to be able to welcome Adrian to our Board of Governors. His experience and insight will prove very valuable in terms of independent financial advice and through his knowledge of our local area and vocational training.”
