In-person Open Events back with a bang!

Students on a tour of the College’s state-of-the-art facilities.

Stoke-on-Trent College hosted an overwhelmingly successful open evening on Wednesday 20th October. The event was spread across both Cauldon and Burslem campuses.

Learners had the opportunity to get a taster of what different courses the college has to offer, with a range of displays, demonstrations and tours of the fantastic industry-standard facilities.

Interactive displays ranged from live haircuts and facial treatments to photography and sport.

Throughout the evening, students were able to catch a glimpse of the college experience to speak to highly knowledgeable tutors, who offer incredible insight into their respective industries.

As well as tutors, learners had the opportunity to meet current SOTC student ambassadors, who were keen to share their own experiences and offer extensive advice.

One visitor mentioned “the helpfulness of staff, particularly that of apprenticeships, exceeded their expectations”.

One of the event organisers, Suzanne Ball, says “It was a well-attended event which showed young people the fantastic facilities that we have here at Stoke-on-Trent College. Open events are the best way to get a flavour of what College life is all about and if you haven’t visited us yet, we strongly recommend you do!”

Don’t worry if you were unable to make it or would like further information. The College will be hosting a virtual open event on 29th November to bring the open event experience to the comfort of your own home. Pre-registration slots for this are now open.

Future in-person open events take place on 12th March & 18th May 2022.

The College offers students a guaranteed place on a course that suits them and have brilliant support networks in place to help learners unlock their full potential.
