Students from Stoke on Trent College’s hair and beauty course showcased their work at a special presentation this week!
Level 2 mature students have been studying ideas such as events, religious traditions and weddings as part of their “Present an Image” module.
As well as creating mood boards to show how they will achieve their look, they also have to complete the model’s hair and make-up and in some cases create outfits for their models to wear!
Lecturer Melissa Fenton said: “The students completed this “look” in the first 12 weeks of their course and the achievement was phenomenal! This is an ideal opportunity for the students to understand the various traditions and events that could need them to create a different “look” in the working environment. They are encouraged to look at ideas, plan what works with their mood boards, discuss their findings and then create their finished image!”
After displaying their work on Thursday, students will go on to write an assignment about their look and how it was created.
