Pudding Run Win!

A Stoke on Trent College lecturer has come out tops, taking part in a local tradition in the Moorlands.

Rebecca Harrison, came first in the Staffordshire Moorlands 10K pudding race.

The annual run, around the streets of Cheddleton, raised money for Cancer Research.

Rebecca had competed in the race before and was thrilled to take 1st place.  “I am delighted to win the Cheddleton Christmas pudding 10k road race, not only winning some wonderful prizes but also raising money for Cancer Research. It’s nice to have my name added to the trophy with some top class previous winners.”

The annual event, organised by the Cheddleton Carnival Committee, is one of a number which takes place in the Moorlands village throughout the year and every competitor takes home a Christmas Pudding.

“I would like to thank Stan Winterton for putting on an awesome event raising lots of money for cancer research. Runners and volunteers braved the cold weather and it was an exhilarating event.” Said Rebecca.
