Shoppers at intu Potteries shopping centre were treated to hair, beauty and food treats as part of a national event run by intu.
Hair and Beauty, as well as Hospitality and Catering students from Stoke on Trent College were enlisted to support the Big Treat event on May 16th and 17th, to provide a range of free tips, tricks and treats for customers.
Hair styling, face-painting, manicures, glitter tattoos, sugar craft skills, live demonstrations, refreshments and yummy sweet treats were all available to shoppers across the weekend event.
Intu, who now own 18 shopping centres across the UK, organised the event to take place at retail and leisure complexes as a way of treating their customers.
Vouchers for food and leisure outlets at each centre were also available to shoppers.
Shopper Victoria Pointon, who visited the college’s alcohol free cocktail stand run by our hospitality and catering team, said: “It’s been really busy in the shopping centre and the free refreshments have made a welcome break.
They were very tasty and demonstrations were really entertaining.”
