Students unveil artistic talents

More than 80 students from Stoke-on-Trent College are unveiling their artistic talents in their spectacular End of Year Show next week.
Guest of honour to open the exhibition at Venue 4 on the Burslem Campus will be internationally renowned pottery designer and manufacturer Emma Bridgewater.
The exhibition will show work from young artists in a wide range of media – including photography, painting, three-dimensional art, film, graphics and interactive media.
Each student, ranging from Level One through to Foundation Degree, has chosen their favourite piece of art to display to the public.
Assistant director for Media and Performing Arts Charles Bartholomew said: “This is the showcase event of the year for our students and demonstrates an amazing depth of creativity, not only in traditional artistic forms but in cutting-edge new media techniques.
“Many of the students will be going on to university or entering the world of work, and this exhibition shows just how much they have to offer employers and the creative industry.”

The exhibition at Venue 4 is open to the public from 11am to 6pm from Tuesday June 14 to Friday June 17. The exhibition is then refreshed with new artwork which will show on June 20 and 21.
