Course Summary

Taught at our brand new Digital and Creative Hub at Cauldon campus, opposite Staffordshire Univerity and Hanley Park, the course is an introduction to drawing methods and techniques. This course offers you the opportunity to explore drawing methods and processes to support a range of art activities and to begin to develop your creative skills.

Entry Requirements

No entry requirements, this course is an introduction level, we do not require that you have qualifications to do the course. An interest in using computers and various media platforms would certainly help you get the most from this course. If you are an absolute beginner, you are also very welcome.

How Is It Assessed

The course is an introduction to drawing. You are required to attend and take part in drawing activities. Practical work is evidence of coursework. There are no exams, as this is a coursework based.

How Is It Taught

The course is taught by a team of specialist lecturers including working professionals, who aim to help you to gain the most from the course. You are also allocated a tutor who will guide you through the course as well as organising any support that you may need. The course is delivered in specialist Art rooms and spaces, through a mixture of practical workshops, lectures and self-directed study.

What Could I do Next

Art and Design courses, we have a Levels 1 and 2 Qualifications in Arts and Ceramics as a potential progression route to develop 2D and 3D visualisation skills. These skills can lead to working as an Artist, Community Artworker, Ceramicist and other roles within the Arts and Creative sectors.
