Course Summary

The Diploma for the Early Years Workforce has been introduced to improve the quality of care and education for young children. This prepares learners to become Early Years Educators, enabling them to work with children from birth to five and gain knowledge of children up to age seven.

How Is It Taught

Learners will attend college for 4 hours each week for theory sessions. A variety of teaching methods are used to meet the needs of all learners including discussions relating to practical experience gained within the workplace, practical sessions and independent study.

What Could I do Next

Following this programme, you could progress on to a HND in Advanced Practice in work with children and families or the Foundation Degree in Early Childhood Studies. This qualification enables learners to work as an Early Years Educator and gain their licence to practise.

CACHE Level 3 qualifications are designed to provide the knowledge and understanding for candidates who wish to work in a supervisory position. Candidates must have the ability to complete tasks and address complex problems. This programme provides underpinning knowledge, assessment and portfolio guidance. You will be required to attend college for a total of four hours each week to gain underpinning knowledge.
